TRIAD agreement was signed January 12, 2011 "TRIAD, a crime prevention program for the elderly." It is a three - way commitment (local Police, Will County Sheriff & Seniors) to reduce the criminal victimization of the elderly and enhance the delivery of law enforcement services to older persons.
YELLOW DOT PROGRAM A national program that immediately provides first responders with vital information about automobile crash victims is spreading rapidly. http://yellowdotillinois.org
FILE OF LIFE The "File of Life" program helps members of the Police and Fire Department provide services at times when you or a family member may not be able to communicate effectively due to medical reasons or personal injury. Everyone who has a medical condition should complete a "File of Life". "File of Life" is a red plastic magnetic file folder that attaches to the refrigerator and contains important medical information about you. "File of Life" information includes: medication taken, allergies, medical conditions, blood type, recent surgery, and emergency contact information.
DRIVER SERVICES Emergency Contact Database Allows Illinois driver's license, instruction permit and ID cardholders to enter emergency contact information into a voluntary, secure database. In the event of a motor vehicle crash or other emergency situation when a person is unable to communicate directly, law enforcement may access the database to help them reach the person's designated contacts. http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com
NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR ONGOING TAI CHI SESSIONS - Channahon Township will host beginners level TAI CHI classes. Classes are on Thursdays, 10 am - 11 am at 25461 S. Fryer Street, Channahon. Call for information. Class sizes are limited so call (815) 467-2569 for reservations. TAI CHI is sponsored by Senior Services of Will County.
